Chris Washington’s show was a real discovery by the awards panel – until the nominees were announced ‘Dream Big (Within Reason)’ had gone largely under the radar, with only one review published. The former Wigan postman’s show was full of warm, cosy, everyman tales of small triumphs and under-ambition. It proved he was a natural talent and an exciting new voice.
