This comedy horror romp led to the groups Channel 4 TV series Garth Marenghi's Darkplace and spin off Man to Man with Dean Learner. Ayoade subsequently found fame with another Channel 4 hit, The IT Crowd, Holness with Free Agents and Alice Lowe was one of E4's Beehive female sketch troupe and also supported Steve Coogan on his last live tour.
