As one of the few female comics of the new wave Lecoat and her brazen humour was very much in the spotlight. When Lecoat left her live performance career behind her she became a professional comedy and drama writer whose credits have included Birds of a Feather, The Catherine Tate Show, Eastenders and Holby City. Lecoat continues to be in demand as a writer and is often asked to speak at industry-related events.
